Misfits, the Basic Premise:

 

The Misfits TV series is about five 20 something individuals sentenced to community service in Britain. At the series beginning last year they get caught in a freak electrical storm and all of sudden have super powers. Not really cool super powers but somewhat crappy ones.

 

Misfits Cast and Super Powers:

• Kelly,Lauren Socha can listen to people’s thoughts
• Curtis, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett can turn back time,
• Alisha, Antonia Thomas sends people into a sex crazed frenzy at a the smallest touch whether she wants to or not,
• Simon, Iwan Rheon can become invisible,
• and Nathan,Robert Sheehan is immortal and can communicate with people who have died recently.

 

I have found the Misfits TV series interesting and it is creative. However, the characters are portraying kids who have committed petty crimes and are at the very least immature and damaged individuals. The language and subject matter is crude, lewd and downright nasty at times. The subject matter follows the same theme to some extent.

 

So far I can’t relate or find much sympathy for any of the Misfits story characters. They are all flawed and self involved. For that reason, they don’t use their super powers for anything other than protecting there own hides. In the first season they accidentally killed their probation officer and then later accidentally killed his fiance.

 

Misfits is definitely worth watching if you are prepared for the language. I keep watching for the characters to exhibit any good qualities.
