True Blood Season 4, Episode 6 Reviewed
As usual the characters in True Blood Season 4, episode 6 are meeting various challenges. Probably the most interesting is the change of Sheriff Eric Northman to a sensitive submissive and almost sweet loving vampire. He has decided he loves Sookie Stackhouse. Remember the previous episode True Blood episode where Marnie the witch went into a trance and Sookie received a communication from her Gran. Her Gran said that her new love was only temporary. In the Sookie Stackhouse book series by Charlaine Harris, Eric recovers his memory after a few days and cannot remember the interval he spent as an amnesiac. Formally he was a vicious manipulative vampire used to having his own way, so this new Eric is a surprise.
True Blood -Vampire Bill has his Hands Full
Vampire Bill Compton or King of Louisiana Bill expertly played by Stephen Moyer is truly under the thumb of the Vampire League and is under pressure not to kill or damage any humans no matter what the provocation. He takes Eric prisoner and and at the last minute spares Eric’s life and frees him to go to Sookie. Bill has the witch Marnie imprisoned, but she has been taken over by a malevolent entity and is a huge danger to the vampires.
Bill also had Pam imprisoned but Eric pleaded with Bill to release her as she posed no danger to the vampires. The makeup artists have done a bang up job to make her look like she is rapidly decomposing after being cursed by the entity inhabiting Marnie. Pam on the loose may not be a danger to vampires, but she has it in for anyone in the the witch circle especially Tara and Lafayette. Bill could be in hot water if Pam kills any humans. After the Russell Edgington debacle the vampires are desperately trying to resurrect their good standing to the human community.
Lafayette and Jesus have traveled to Mexico to meet with Jesus’ grandfather to learn how to reverse the curses on Eric Northman and Pam and save their own skins. Hopefully they can restore Pam to health before she completely rots or takes out Tara.
True Blood – Will Jason Turn into a Panther
At the full moon Jason is waiting to turn into a panther after being bitten repeatably by the Hotshot were panthers. In the Sookie Stackhouse book series, he does turn into a sort of half panther. At the end of this True Blood episode he feels happy and relieved when Sookie tells him that he can’t change because shifters are hereditary. Sookie ran into Alcide and asked him. I am still wondering if the True Blood series writers will follow the story line in the book series.
Something odd is happening with Arlene’s baby boy. Her house burns and they all escape safely but they found the baby outside without any explanation of how he got there. There is also something paranormal happening with the baby. We will all have to wait and see what develops.
Tommy again creates a problem for Sam. He shifts into an identical copy of him and then makes love to Sam’s girlfriend. He insults her afterwards and then reverts to his own shape and collapses. At this True Blood episode ending, Sam finds Tommy unconscious.
