True Blood Season 4, Episode 5
Sookie lied to Bill in the last episode when he came to her house searching for Eric. At the end of this episode Pam accidentally spills the beans about Eric and that he is staying with Sookie. Bill rushes off and that leaves me wondering what will happen next.
True Blood’s Pam and Eric Northman Get Their Due
Marney, the wican, truly does not remember the spells which made Eric lose his memory and Pam begin a slow rot. Great makeup job on Pam. Pam is desperate to exact revenge on the witch but Louisiana King Bill is under orders from the Vampire League that there will be no human casualties under threat of the final death.
Will Jason Turn into a Panther or Not?
Jason is rescued by his friend Hoyt and Vampire Jessica. Jessica feeds him her blood to restore him which has a side effect of an erotic dream. This episode of True Blood takes place just a day before the full moon and Jason is worried about what will happen. Will he turn into a panther or not?
Sam Merlotte’s little brother, Tommy, visited his parents at the end of the 4th episode of True Blood and his father Joe Lee, a despicable excuse for a human being, attacked him with a chain and with Tommy’s mothers help try to subdue him. They need him to participate in a planned dog fight. Tommy manages to turn the tables on his father and the ensuing battle between he and his parents results their deaths. He loads them up and drives over to Sam for help and the two of them drive off to dispose of the bodies. On there way they are stopped by Andy Belleflour and he insists on opening the back of the van. Tommy turns into an alligator and hisses at Andy when he opens the van door and Andy lets them go.
Lafayette and Jesus head off to Mexico to get help from Jesus’ grandfather and Tara visits with Sookie. Unfortunately, Eric wakes up while she is there and she leaves in a huff to put it mildly presumably to go back to New Orleans.
This 5th Episode of True Blood Season 4 Tantalizes us with Possibilities
Sookie pays a visit to Marney in an effort to find out what happened to Eric to lose his memory and while getting a reading from Marney, the spirt of her Gran comes through and warns her to get away from Marney as quickly as possible. Her Gran also tells her not to give her heart to her new man because the situation is only going to be temporary. At the end of this True Blood episode she and Eric embrace and this reader is left wondering just how much romance between the two of them will develop before Eric recovers his memory.
For some reason I enjoyed this 5th episode of True Blood more that the previous ones. Each episode is a revelation as very little of the story line and many of the characters are not in the Sookie Stackhouse books written by Charlaine Harris. It is satisfying to see that vampires are not all powerful and are threatened by and afraid of witches. That gives some karmic balance to the True Blood TV series.
